“Seven clocks ticking. Fingers typing on my MacBook Pro kbd. Humidifier. Dog barking on 99th or 100th Street. Freight train on Van Vlissingen Prairie. Dog silenced. Push Notifications.”
32 pages, staple-bound, 2-color Risograph, 5 × 8 inches, first edition of 200 copies
is a zine publication invested in the exploration of punk, hardcore, noise, and other subcultural sonic communities. Through photographic documentation of performers, audiences, spaces, and moments, Disruptor
acts as both an investigation and archival collection of imagery. These visual records are presented alongside transcribed interviews, with each dialogue highlighting an individual or group working on the periphery to carve out new spaces and explore new musical and artistic ground.
Issue Six features an extensive interview with Chicago experimental noise outfit ONO and images of performances by CT-85, Leaked Image, Product KF, and more. The texts and images in this publication were captured during the Winter and Spring of 2019.
